I think the staff said they have only a few cribs, which, if I heard right, seems strange for a hotel that attracts families. We checked in around 3 pm, but no cribs were available. They do come in 'soft' and 'firm,' but my husband and I both thought they were too big to be comfortable. The pillows weren't our favorite, as they are quite large and fluffy. We did also hear some crying babies, etc. Well, you can probably plan to hear a lot of yapping dogs when the dogs are left unattended in the guest rooms. People have complained here about noisy kids. I didn't know the hotel was so pet friendly. Our kids are little, so the train was a huge highlight, and we liked it since we didn't have to drive. Our aim was the planetarium, so we got off at the Arena stop and walked 2 more blocks to the Clark Planetarium. Trains come every 20 minutes and it takes maybe 15 minutes to get to downtown. We walked over to the station, purchased a group ticket ($15 for up to 4 people for the whole day, and kids 5 and under ride free), and took the train straight to downtown SLC. One thing we didn't know is that the hotel is walking distance to a Trax stop (Green Line, Decker Lake). I think if you plan to stay here, just know that this hotel really attracts a ton of families and kids because of the water slide and extra-big pool area.

Our goal was a family vacation including taking our young kids swimming, so we were glad to stay here. We got our room via Hotwire for just $70/night (including tax), which we felt was a good deal.
